The economy is mainly agricultural (fruit): the valley is made famous by the vast production of Golden apples commercially known under the brand Melinda (first PDO brand granted for a product of the fruit industry). Tourism and craftsmanship are also fairly important for the local economy, and some artisan areas and small industries and cement factories in the area of Cles, Tassullo and Mollaro are also present. In the upper valley there are also small companies related to the wood industry that produce packaging.
